虽然已经听了五六年，但随机播放切到这一首的时候，我仍然会直接笑出来。有朋友对我喜欢这首很不以为然，认为是对于贬低女性不可饶恕的赞同。我倒觉得不必如此敏感。歌中将嬉笑怒骂的功力发挥到极致，带着的不仅是讽刺还有自嘲，以平铺直叙的白描手法勾勒出一个又一个的典型形象，要是往深了说，歌曲揭开了资本主义世界中人与人之间依靠金钱维系关系的本质，如同马克思所说的：“资产阶级撕下了罩在家庭关系上的温情脉脉的面纱，把这种关系变成了纯粹的金钱关系。”这么看还颇有些《革命之路》的意思（我都被我胡扯乱联系的能力感动了）。头两个段子控诉掘金女有种哭笑不得的感觉，但第三段verse却笔锋一转讲了个陈世美的段子，不管有没有平衡的嫌疑，至少这个金钱面前感情太脆弱人人都一个逼样的态度是表出来了。
侃爷就不用多废话介绍了，有很多同学一直以为侃爷找Jamie Foxx来助阵是借他出演《灵魂歌王》的力，不过当创作Gold digger的时候影帝还没有演歌王（有黑们吐槽影帝的唱功烂，我的态度有礼有节：you can you up啊，就特么知道瞎bb）。最开始的时候本来是侃爷为Shawnna04年的大碟制作的歌曲，但后来并没有被收入，侃爷后期作了修改就自己留下了。事实证明这一决定很英明（就像当初夫人留着"Telephone"一样英明，我是夫人脑残粉我骄傲），Gold digger是侃爷最出名的单曲之一，也是21世纪美帝商业上最成功的单曲之一，发出之后在多个英语国家都拿到了第一的成绩，于美帝则雄踞公告牌榜首长达十周，并且入选公告牌麻辣百分百榜单（billboard hot 100），排名第58位。
最后还有一个困惑我许久的问题，侃爷在SNL上唱净版的时候用“broke，broke”代替了“broke niggas”，要是押韵用“broke fellas”不更行吗，难道fella的说法太白？求明白人给个指点，不胜感激。
